WORLD TEACHERS' DAY: HON. (PRINCE) ADEDAMOLA RICHARD KASUNMU (ARK) SALUTES TEACHERS FOR THEIR SELFLESS SERVICE TO NATION BUILDING
The Deputy Majority Leader of the Lagos State House of Assembly, *Hon. (Prince) Adedamola Richard Kasunmu (ARK)*, has joined well-meaning Nigerians and the global community to celebrate teachers on the occasion of the 2026 World Teachers' Day
In his goodwill message to mark the day, Hon. Kasunmu described teachers as the bedrock of societal development, whose dedicated and selfless service continues to inspire generations and strengthen the very fabric of our society.
According to him, "Teaching is not just a profession, it is a calling that demands patience, sacrifice and an uncommon commitment to shaping the future. Our teachers labour daily to mould character, impart knowledge and build leaders. They deserve more than our applause, they deserve our total support and appreciation."
The lawmaker, who represents Ikeja Constituency II, noted that no society can rise above the quality of its teachers, stressing that Lagos State remains committed to improving teachers' welfare and the learning environment under the THEMES+ Agenda of the current administration.
He further stated, "On this special day, I celebrate every teacher in Lagos State and across Nigeria. You make a difference in the lives of our children and in the destiny of our nation. You are truly appreciated. Your reward will not only be in heaven, but also here on earth."
Hon. Kasunmu called on government at all levels, parents and stakeholders to continue to support teachers and accord them the honour and dignity they deserve.
He wished all teachers a happy and memorable World Teachers' Day celebration.
