BREAKING NEWS: HEAVY GUNFIRE IN ABA , BIAFRA PROTEST TURNS BLOODY
Disturbing reports reaching us from Aba holds that members of the Biafra protester this afternoon stormed Aba central market to demand the release of their leader Nnamdi Kanu, who has been in detention since November 2015.
According to an eye-witness, the Nigerian soldiers apprehended some of the protesters and were beating them up when a gun fell down from one of the soldiers. A protester made away with the gun and this aggravated the soldiers to employ a more violent approach to ensure that the protesters were sent back.
All major banks, schools and markets have since been shut down following the civil unrest.
An unconfirmed report says 2 dead bodies can be seen at the scene of the shootings as military men have occupied major locations.
