Cardinal James Omolaja Odunmbaku, globally known by the sobriquet, ‘Baba Eto’ and All Progressives Congress(APC) leading light in Lagos State has been selected as one of those that have been pencilled down as recipients of national honours by the Federal Government in October.
Baba Eto is also the founder and Visioner/President of the popular Christ Ambassador Soul Winners Ministries International in Lagos.
Odunmbaku’s nomination was contained in a letter personally addressed to him by the Office of the Minister of the Federal Ministry of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs.
According to the letter titled: “2022 National Honours Award Letter,” with reference no: FMSDIGA/NHA/001/T/93 and dated September 19, 2022, Cardinal Odunmbaku would be conferred with the prestigious title of Member of the Order of the Federal Republic (MFR).
The letter that was signed by Sen. George Akume, the honourable minister, reads inter alia:
“I have the honour to formally inform you that the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, has approved the conferment of the National Honours on you, in the rank of MFR(Member of the Order of the Federal Republic).”
The formal investiture, according to the letter, would hold alongside with other honorees, at the International Conference Centre, Abuja, on Tuesday, October 11, 2022.
