A Deputy Commissioner of Police at the Lagos State Police Command, DCP Gbolahan Oyedemi, found dead in his house in Ogbomosho.

The 50-year-old officer, who had gone home to celebrate the Easter holidays, was found d£ad on April 2. 

Sources privy to the incident informed Leadership Newspaper on Tuesday morning that his body was found h@nging in the house on Monday, suggesting he probably ended it all.

 “He came with his aides and we heard that he discharged them to go and celebrate Easter with their respective families only to hear that he ended it all yesterday (Monday),” a former aide to late Governor Akala, who had served at the same time with DCP Oyedemi, narrated.

“He was formerly staying with his mother in the same house he built for her around Randa area of Ogbomoso, later he built another house located at Petros Academy Street, Federal Lowcost area and he thereafter moved to the new building. He was unmarried,” another source stated.

 A police source at FCID who spoke with DailyTrust said some persons would be invited for questioning over the incident. Among them are those who first saw his corpse.

“This is to ascertain where the deceased went to before his death, who was with him at the time he entered his room, including who had his two handsets as of the time of death.
