In celebration of Eid-el-Kabir, Hon. David Olusegun Odunmbaku, extended a comprehensive Sallah largesse to residents and stakeholders across Ojodu LCDA. The initiative aimed to foster community harmony, promote inclusive celebration and ease economic pressures during the festive season.
As part of the distribution, ₦300,000 cash gifts were disbursed to each of the six wards (A–F) and the LGA party leadership to support party faithfuls, community members, and stakeholders. In addition, over 200 bags of 50kg rice were shared across wards, LGA level, and essential institutions such as the Nigeria Police, DSS, NOA, Arewa, Ndigbo , Kogi , South-South communities and Persons with Disabilities (PWDs).
To support religious observance, over 200 rams were distributed to community leaders, religious bodies, Councillors, Executives, and Ward Chairmen. Community , party faithfuls, Market women, traders, and security agencies also received cash gifts.
The Council *also paid Ileya bonus to it’s officials and non pensionable staff, while it also organized a 50% Discount Food Palliative Programme for residents*, making staple food items more affordable for low-income families during the Sallah celebrations.
Hon. Odunmbaku reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to inclusive governance, community development and grassroots empowerment, urging residents to celebrate in peace and unity.
