HEARTBREAKING LOSS: Nollywood veteran actor Francis Ugide Duru has died at the age ot 5/ tollowing a briet illness, according to an announcement by his family on his official Instagram page.
The family announced his passing in a statement, saying,
"We, the family of Francis Duru, regret to announce his passing following a brief illness.
"We appreciate your prayers, love, and understanding.
May his soul rest in perfect peace. Amen."
The Actors Guild of Nigeria also confirmed the news through its official Instagram page.
The guild's president, Abubakar Sanusi Yakubu, mourned the actor, writing, "Another great thespian gone...Rest in peace Francis Duru!!"
Born on July 27, 1969, Duru was a veteran figure in Nollywood, known for his contributions to the Nigerian film industry over the years.
