South African President Cyril Ramaphosa has said there is no place for racism, sexism, xenophobia, Afrophobia, or any other form of intolerance in the country.
He added that addressing migration requires cooperation through the Southern African Development Community (SADC), the African Union, and bilateral partnerships to tackle the root causes of displacement.
Ramaphosa emphasized that everyone living in South Africa must do so lawfully and said enforcing immigration laws is the responsibility of the state alone.
He warned that no individual has the authority to demand identity documents from others and vowed that anyone attempting to destabilize the country would face the full force of the law.
