President Tinubu has Appointed Ondo State-Born Adepoju Carol Wura-Ola as Acting Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Immigration Service. She hails from *Ile-Oluji* in Ondo State.
The Civil Defense, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board has appointed Deputy Comptroller General of Immigration, Adepoju Carol Wura-Ola, as the acting Comptroller General of Immigration.
The board oversees the Federal Fire Service, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps and the Nigerian Correctional Service.
Wura-Ola would be replacing Isah Jere.
The PUNCH reports that Jere’s tenure had ended on April 24 but was extended by the immediate past president, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd).
However, a letter dated May 26, 2023, signed by the Secretary of the board, Ja’afaru Ahmed, announced Wura-Ola as the acting CG.
